The Wall of Warmth returned this fall for its ninth year, spreading warmth and kindness across East Idaho. Walls were set up in eight cities—including Pocatello, Blackfoot, Shelley, Idaho Falls, Rigby, Rexburg, St. Anthony, and Driggs—stocked with coats, hats, gloves, scarves, and snow pants for those in need.
Local school counselors and organizations serving families and individuals experiencing homelessness were given early access, making sure winter gear reached neighbors who couldn’t visit the walls themselves.
Tanks-Giving is a chance for Good 2 Go Stores to give something meaningful back to the people who keep us going. Each store across the chain surprised three customers and one team member with a free tank of gas, and this year, we were able to give away over 300 tanks of gas!
The reactions speak for themselves: people always express gratitude, sometimes sharing that the free tank came at the perfect time. Our people love having the opportunity to help their friends out. Tanks-Giving has created hundreds of these small, heartfelt moments that ripple far beyond the everyday interactions.
The Thousand Thanks program recognizes outstanding employees by giving them the opportunity to make a meaningful impact. Through the Hall Foundation, each recipient directed a $1,000 donation to a charity of their choice.
In November, this resulted in $40,000 donated to local and national nonprofits. The organizations selected reflect the personal values of our employees and support a wide range of needs — including education, hunger relief, health care, veterans’ services, and animal welfare.
Each November, LP Propane invites community members across its service regions to nominate families, friends, and neighbors who may be struggling to fill their propane tanks. From these nominations, six households are selected to receive $1,000 worth of propane each, helping provide warmth, stability, and peace of mind during the holiday season. Spreading Warmth not only supports customers in need but also gives LP Propane employees the opportunity to engage with and make a meaningful difference in their communities.
This is Charlie from Rupert Idaho. He was nominated and chosen because of the challenges he faces having gone blind recently but continues to be a light in his community striving to help those in need when he is able.
Helen has been our customer for over seven years. After an injury and recent economic challenges, she’s had hard times and has been unable to find work. She is a kind, caring customer and always a joy when she comes in.
For Kadie, the past year has brought significant challenges, including job uncertainty and serious health issues involving her children. We’re hopeful this provides her family with a small but meaningful break.
Inspired by a Teton Petroleum Transport employee’s selfless act of giving his own jacket to a homeless woman in need, Delivering Warmth came to life. Wanting to give other drivers the same opportunity to help someone in the moment, the company partnered with the Hall Foundation to provide each TPT driver with a hoodie to keep in their truck cab. Throughout December, drivers across Arizona, Nevada, Texas, and Tennessee shared warmth and dignity whenever they saw a need, giving away more than 100 sweatshirts. Delivering Warmth revealed not only the depth of need in our communities, but also the impact one small act of kindness can have on both the giver and the receiver.
Charitable Giving Supported This Quarter
This quarter, the Hall Foundation supported a variety of nonprofit organizations working to strengthen individuals, families, and communities:
Season of Giving Impact
During our Season of Giving at the Headquarters Christmas Party, each person attending was given $50 to spend to support the charitable causes that mattered most to them. Employees came together to support 10 incredible causes, resulting in a total donation of $14,000. Our contributions provided meals, clothing, shelter, education, and essential supplies to children, families, and individuals in need both locally and around the world.
