Wrapping wishes

Our teams wrapped up 2024 with remarkable impact! Volunteers brought warmth to Eastern Idaho through thousands of donated coats freely available to those in need. Through our Thousand Thanks initiative, nominated employees became community champions by directing funds to local charities close to their hearts. Their choices strengthened diverse causes across our region, embodying our commitment to meaningful local change.

In November, we called on the entire East Idaho community to help each other stay warm through the chilly months of winter.

In its seventh season, the project included an incredible ten walls in eight communities, including Pocatello, Blackfoot, Shelley, Idaho Falls, Rigby, Rexburg, St. Anthony and Driggs.

Community members contributed clean, gently used coats and other winter gear, which were sorted by Hall Foundation volunteers and then placed on walls throughout Eastern Idaho in mid-November.

Requested donations of winter apparel were also made to several shelters in the area who had urgent need.

Exceptional employees became catalysts for change through our Thousand Thanks program this year. Nominated for their outstanding contributions at Brad Hall Companies, these individuals directed $1,000 donations to local organizations they’re passionate about. Their choices reflected personal connections to causes ranging from youth development to animal welfare, multiplying our company’s positive impact across diverse community needs.

A few employee donation stories

TYLER PETERSON

BLACKFOOT ANIMAL SHELTER

“The Blackfoot Animal Shelter means a lot to my family. The ownership and management of the shelter is fantastic considering their finite resources. My family and I visit and offer as much help as possible to the shelter. They are trying to build a new facility as well. I believe this still aligns with the Hall Foundation’s mission as the shelter benefits our community and the education/care of proper animal treatment lifts individuals.”

CONNOR EGBERT

BOOKS BETWEEN KIDS

“I am grateful for the freedom, imagination, and creativity that books/stories brought to my mind as a child. Being able to provide any level of assistance to the children of Houston that are below the poverty line would be phenomenal. The more literacy and access to books/stories that we can provide these children will only help them to have an outlet, freedom, and ability to dream beyond their current circumstances. When a child has the ability to read and access literature, it is one of the few positive variables (at their age) that they can control to improve their lives despite challenges around their homes/communities. Increasing literacy and access to literature empowers children to dream and feel joy in often difficult circumstances.”

JOANNE WADSWORTH

HAPPYVILLE COMMUNITY FARM

“I drive by this little community farm several times per week, and I only just now discovered what they do! They’re a nonprofit urban farm working to advance community health and vitality through growing and sharing fresh local produce to local soup kitchens. I’ve always been passionate about locally grown food, organic farming, connecting with nature, and urban community gardens. I think the world in general needs more places like this in order to heal our bodies and reconnect with our communities, and I’m delighted to be able to support them! Yay for real, beautiful, unprocessed food, grown right here where we live. And yay for teaching people about it the way that they’re doing through this program!”

RYAN GILBERT

ALZHEIMER'S ASSOCIATION OF COLORADO

“My father has Alzheimer’s and this disease has been more common nowadays then ever. My father is on experimental medication but it’s very hard to see a loved one deteriorating away from life and there is nothing I can do to stop it!!”

TARITHA “TINY” NEAL

SUPERIOR DANCE COMPANY

“I chose this organization because she is very important to the community. She donates her time and gives her heart and her soul to the kids and families of superior over a decade now. It keeps the kids involved and active all year round.  This sweet lady comes out of her own pocket & her heart and soul is dedicated to this dance company it’s a blessing to be able to help them out.”

First and foremost, I wanted to express my deepest gratitude for your unwavering support throughout my academic journey. Your financial assistance and encouragement have played a pivotal role in helping me achieve my goals. I am thrilled to share that I successfully completed my last semester at BYU Idaho and graduated last week with a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration. It’s a significant milestone for me, and I am eagerly awaiting the receipt of my degree certificates from the university.

The hope of having a college education seemed almost shattered when I stayed at home for 7 years after my high school education because my family cannot afford the funds needed to start a college education.

The Hall Foundation has been a miracle in our lives. It has allowed us [my husband and I] to both attend school and improve our circumstances. Our family will be blessed for generations to come because we will have degrees and will instill in our children the importance of education.
